Mumbai Tech Week, held in February 2024 at the Jio World Centre, brought together tech enthusiasts, industry leaders, and startups from 46 companies for a tech extravaganza. The event aimed to recognize and celebrate the city's thriving tech ecosystem through various formats and was attended by over 46 companies, including 15+ Unicorns valued at over $50 billion.

Hosted by the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM), the event introduced innovative ways to engage participants in collaboration with Virtualness. This collaboration leveraged blockchain technology to offer digital commemoratives, enhancing traditional keepsakes and broadening the reach of Mumbai's tech community internationally.

The digital commemoratives transcended physical mementos that offered lasting value and exclusive content. People who claimed the digital commemorative gained access to a series of insightful videos from industry stalwarts like Harsh Jain of Dream 11, Aakrit Vaish of Haptik, Naiyya Saggi of Good Glamm Group, Beerud Sheth of Gupshup, Neeraj Roy of Hungama Digital Media, Vivek Khermani of Quantiphi, Vishwas Patel of Infibeam Avenues Limited, and Anand Jain of CleverTap. Not just that, three lucky winners stood a chance to meet and get personal insights from one of these legends.

This collaboration facilitated global reach, attracting audiences from 18 countries including the United States, China, Singapore, Brazil, Nigeria, and 60 cities across India including New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Vapi, and Jaunpur. It not only showcased Mumbai's tech prowess to audiences worldwide but also created a network of tech aficionados celebrating their involvement in this vibrant ecosystem.

"Mumbai is one of the epicenters of startup talent in India and Mumbai Tech Week celebrated this vibrant and growing tech ecosystem. Our collaboration with Virtualness allowed us to expand our reach to far corners of India and across the globe, turning Mumbai Tech Week into a truly international event."

- Harsh Jain of Dream11

“While Mumbai tech week was one of the most electrifying tech fest our country has ever seen, we were able to continue our engagement with the audiences beyond the event days with Virtualness. My interactions with the participants were insightful leaving me energized and excited for the future of tech in our country.”

- Aakrit Vaish of Haptik

At the end of the campaign, Sachin Bhavsar was chosen as one of the lucky winners for a 1:1 session with Aakrit Vaish. Virtualness facilitated an in-person meeting in Mumbai, and Sachin's heartfelt gratitude reflects the value of this experience. “The meeting was incredibly enriching. Aakrit Vaish's insights and engaging interaction left a lasting positive impression. The dedication & commitment to facilitating meaningful connections within our network are truly commendable.” shared Sachin.

A striking finding from the event was that more than 93% of attendees expressed keen interest in ongoing engagement. This initiative illustrates how Web3 technologies can enhance event experiences and elevate local tech communities to a global platform. Virtualness' pioneering technology enables users to log in using their social media handles and engage in buying and selling without needing cryptocurrency, making this groundbreaking innovation accessible for everyday use. Through the integration of blockchain for digital verification, commemoration, and community engagement, Virtualness and Mumbai Tech Week are pioneering new standards, reimagining events and fostering ongoing engagements that will extend into the next year, with the aim of surpassing records set in previous events.
